Riot Games has released a video showing the gameplay of the new Arena mode in League of Legends. Trailer was published on YouTube.
In the new mode, four teams of two players will fight. Participants need to defeat opponents in duels on special maps that differ in design and overall landscape. For victories, teams will be able to choose augmentations — special power-ups that give passive and active skills. Sometimes NPC champions will appear on the maps, which will introduce an element of randomness.
The Arena will become available in League of Legends with the launch of the Battle Souls event. The start of the event, which will take place in all Riot Games games within the same universe, is scheduled for July 20.
